James Cobb started his interest in lighting firstly at school and then at the National Youth Theatre. In 1999 he founded LXCO on leaving Flying Music where he had been Production Coordinator for four years.

He has worked as a touring Production Manager, and currently oversees production on many large events including the Cornbury Festival, The Arundel Festival, and Fly to the Past at Blenheim Palace.

He holds the NEBOSH certificate in health and safety, and has a science degree from Cambridge, as well as being an RSA fellow.

In 2005 he was elected to the council of the Production Services Association. He has been actively involved the the drafting of BS8901 (Sustainable Event Managemene) on behalf of the PSA.
